DHC Days 2017 – Local to Global Approaches for Innovative District Energy Solutions
On the initiative of the CELSIUS project, the DHC Days 2017 will be held on 21-22 February in Lyon, France co-organised by the Métropole de Lyon, in collaboration with SweHeat & Cooling, DHC news, AMORCE and the United Nations Environment’s District Energy in Cities Initiative.
PLANHEAT has been invited to speak at Session 1B: “Innovative solutions for urban waste treatment and heat recovery” and Stefano Barberis (PLANHEAT project coordinator) will share insights on waste heat mapping and planning. Indeed, waste heat recovery has great potential in the whole EU to contribute to decarbonising heating systems.
During the event, participants will find a space where utility companies, district energy operators, software & hardware providers, public institutions, academics and European projects can meet and exchange on innovative solutions that could allow district energy systems to contribute to a sustainable future of energy security and smart growth. It will include interactive round table sessions focused on urban waste heat recovery, district cooling and bringing district energy to the digital era. Additionally, organised matchmaking sessions will allow participants to meet specific contacts. For more information, please see the preliminary agenda below.
