EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW)
The EU Sustainable Energy Week 2017 (EUSEW 2017) will take place from 19 to 25 June 2017, with Energy Days being organised during the whole month of June all across Europe.
Find out about the PLANHEAT project during EUSEW 2017, we will be present on multiple occasions! Stay tuned, more information soon!
Launched in 2006 as an initiative of the European Commission, EUSEW is a month-long annual series of activities across Europe, promoting secure, clean and efficient energy, and connecting policymakers, stakeholders and citizens to achieve climate and energy goals for the Energy Union.
Stakeholders have the opportunity to participate in EUSEW 2017 by attending the High Level Policy Conference, by submitting their project to the Sustainable Energy Awards competition, or by organising an Energy Day.
The High Level Policy Conference is the most important European conference dedicated to sustainable energy policy issues. Sessions organised by the European Commission and energy stakeholders debate new policy developments, best practices and sustainable energy ideas, while networking events forge alliances. Awards for outstanding projects begin the week.
The EU Sustainable Energy Awards recognise outstanding innovation in energy efficiency and renewables. Nominees are chosen from a shortlist of the year’s most successful projects for clean, secure and efficient energy. With prizes from an expert jury and European Citizens, the Awards highlight new ways to shape Europe’s energy future.
The Energy Days, organised by local public and private organisations, are activities and events that raise awareness on energy efficiency and renewables. Any activity can be an Energy Day –from a workshop, to a competition, to a tour of a power station– all engage citizens and energy stakeholders in building the Energy Union.
The Networking Village hosts exhibitions, presentations, a Speakers’ Corner and one-to-one meetings. It is a key feature of the Policy Conference – a place for the EUSEW Community to exchange ideas.
