LEDS-EEP Webinar on PLANHEAT Tool

Nov 15th, 2017 | Online

The Europe & Eurasia Low Emission Development Strategies Platform (LEDS-EEP) exists to provide a network for knowledge sharing, support, interaction and learning to all those throughout the region who are working towards the goal of providing fast start climate financing and build capacities in partner countries, providing targeted technical assistance, and building a shared global knowledge base on low emission development. To achieve so, the platform seeks to link policymakers, practitioners and the lender/donor community through meetings, working groups, and resource sharing on topics relevant to low-emissions development strategies.

The webinar on The PLANHEAT Tool will be a part of the webinar programme on “Tools and Methodologies for Municipal and Regional Sustainable Energy Planning,” which started in September. The programme covers a wide range of approaches and tools for sustainable energy planning in urban areas, such as:

  • presenting selected tools that can be used by practitioners working on the development of municipal and regional energy plans;
  • discussing methods and challenges related to data availability and collection; and
  • presenting examples of using simple and advanced tools for energy planning in several European countries and the United States.

All previous webinars for this series can be accessed at the LEDS-EEP webpage’s Trainings and Webinars section.

The webinar will be held in English language on Wednesday 15 November 2017, from 11:00 to 12:00 CET. Participation is for free. To register, please write an e-mail to Thor Morante at tmorante@rec.org.
