Via the city mapping module (CMM), the end-user is able to visualize on the Q-GIS map demand values as the tool is able, starting from an aggregate urban value of energy consumption, to disaggregate it on the map showing in which areas H&C demand is high. The CMM can then enable the end-user to evaluate per each single H&C technology its level of penetration and of energy consumption in order to understand their weight on the general urban demand and propose renovation on a single heating and cooling technology or on a single source.
A similar approach and calculations are performed for the future scenario that the end user is guided to create in the city planning module approach (CPM). At the end of the CPM the end user is able to benchmark baseline and future scenarios and calculate some specific KPIs (at energy, economic, social and environmental level) that are common in both city and district approach.
